Medsin QUB has been operating for approximately five years, and in that time we have gone from strength to strength. Perhaps our biggest success to date has been our ambitious CPRiS project which aims to teach 25,000 children basic life support each year, meaning that in 10 years time, 10% of the population in Northern Ireland will be capable of performing CPR.

Medsin QUB is also affiliated with Marrow Belfast, last years top recruiting branch throughout the UK. We have also recently set up Teddy Bear Hospital, the Global Health Project which has written the course curriculum for three SSCs and we have also had participants in the IFMSA project Unite for Sight in the past.

Medsin QUB has been working closely with a number of national and local HIV/AIDS charities for the past number of years to promote World AIDS Day and other stop AIDS efforts. We have also had a number of novel fundraisers in the past for WaterAid including a soak-a-thon, and we continue to promote Fair Trade within the university and hospitals.

By the end of October, we hope to have Teddy Bear Hospital and Sexpression firmly up and running.

We are also busy forming links with Medecin Sans Frontieres Ireland which has a new national office serving the organisation. Click on the link to see their new website!
